Simply peel off the protective layer on the 3M adhesive tape and press firmly onto surface.

Generally you can remove and press on again 2 or 3 times if you keep the adhesive side clean.

Note: While experience shows these ribbons conveniently stay in place as intended, they are not physically attached like with a pin. If worn under a jacket for example they may not stay in place.
