Cystic Fibrosis Awareness

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects the lungs. According to the American Lung Association, it is the second most common inherited disorder occuring in children in the United States. About 70,000 people worldwide live with CF of which 30,000 are in the United States. About 1,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Because of increased research efforts, those with CF are living well into adulthood.
